Like so many of us, my family wasn’t picture perfect growing up. But moments shared in our kitchen are some of the best memories I ever had. My mom is a skilled home-cook/baker and my dad’s talent for cooking quickly, without recipes or measuring cups, made me feel privileged to have grown up in such an environment. In fact, rebaking my childhood treats still bring me joy to this day; the smell of the kitchen, the mess, the mishaps, the smile after that first bite, all of it.
